Mostyn H. Richards MCSP BSc BEng

Before I became a Physiotherapist (University of Southampton) I obtained a degree in Materials Science and Engineering (University of Bath) and 4 A-levels (Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics).
Since graduating I have pursued my interests in sports medicine, out-patients, elderly care and neurology by attending many post graduate courses and seminars in Joanne Elphinston Movement Systems, Soft Tissue Management, Golf Athlete Training, MacKenzie Therapy, Kinetic Control, Acupuncture, Falls Prevention and Bobath Therapy.
In joining Pembrey Physiotherapy Clinic my special interest was to establish an injury prevention (pre-habilitation) service alongside our existing injury recovery (re-habilitation) service. It is common knowledge in other aspects of life that prevention is better than cure. For example; you should visit a dentist on an annual basis alongside regular maintanence (brushing/flossing) of you teeth or that you should allow a mechanic to service your car every year or 14,000 miles.
